Roger Pugh, AAMS, AIF®
Roger is the managing partner and co-founder of Waypoint Wealth Management. Roger is the Registered Securities Principal for Waypoint as well as an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) from the Center of Fiduciary Studies. Roger started his career in the investment industry in 1997 with a national brokerage firm. While performing his duties as an investment representative, he also spent much of his time working for the firm in the areas of training and recruiting of new investment representatives. In 2005, in order to offer a more comprehensive and broader approach to investment planning, Roger left the national firm and created Waypoint Wealth Management, joining the largest independent firm in the nation, LPL Financial*.
Roger focuses much of his practice on Waypoint's “disciplinedIQ” advisory process which combines a disciplined approach to asset selection and allocation with a sensible approach to risk management. This process is the result of a critical exploration of industry biases and a rethinking of the basic tenants of traditional investment philosophy. Visit disciplinedIQ for a preview of the process.
Roger is also founder and Trustee of The Waypoint Foundation, a tax-exempt non-profit organization which provides educational opportunities to the youth of communities they serve. The foundation’s largest event of each year is a chess tournament open to all students K-12 throughout Grant County. For more information, please visit www.waypointfoundation.org.
Roger and his wife, Leanne, married in 1991 and have four beautiful adopted children. Three are busy elementary-school age children, and the fourth is in junior-high. Leanne keeps busy with the children and hobbies of her own when time allows. The children enjoy reading with mom and dad, wrestling, and playing on the trampoline and in the yard with dad. When Roger is not busy with family he loves to golf, travel, and be involved with community projects such as the annual Waypoint Foundation Scholastic Chess Tournament established by Roger and his brother, Troy.
