Michael Slate 
Michael has been a financial advisor in the Columbia Basin since 1996 and has lived in Moses Lake since 1986. Formerly a retail store manager, Michael made the change to that of a financial advisor to be able to maintain a more family-focused life. He is an active member of the Moses Lake Business Association and the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Michael's family includes has two daughters who share their fathers' energy. They are both actively involved in their education (one in college and the other nearing the end of high school), and they both participate in church ministries and short-term missions.
He is a US Army veteran, and going further back achieved the Boy Scouts of America's highest rank of Eagle Scout.
Michael is an avid sportsman taking advantage of fishing and hunting opportunities that come his way. Because of his passion and experience in the outdoors, Michael is a guest writer for the Columbia Basin Herald with articles appearing in the fishing and hunting news. Oddly enough, his fiancé Carla is typically the one who catches the larger walleye on their evening outings.
